1876 The “Indian Question” – what does this sound similar
to?
Please look at Resources 1, 3 (focus on final line),
Begin at the 1870 mark, with Assimilation as Policy, scroll
through to the end of the 1950s. You should read enough that you can get a
general sense of how the school system really began, who was targeted, what its
effects were – and identify some themes that appear in other narratives of
genocide.
